We're looking for a PROPOSAL WRITER

WHO’S OPENDOT? 

OpenDot is a foundation dedicated to making a positive impact on people and communities by addressing their real needs. We work at local and international levels, getting involved in funded projects with different stakeholders.

OpenDot has its internal Fab Lab - a digital fabrication laboratory, and is a multidisciplinary team of designers, makers, developers, and communication experts, carrying out all stages of a project, from the co-creation of the idea to the development of solutions.

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR?

We’re currently looking for a Proposal Writer to join our team with at least 2 years of experience. We are open to working with you either as an employee or as a freelancer. 

You will closely collaborate with our team by selecting, designing, and writing new project proposals.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Searching for grant funding opportunities close to organization’s mission and objectives, with a focus on Italian opportunities
• Co-designing the proposal with OpenDot team members and/or external partners;
• Writing grant proposals independently, starting from collective brainstorming
• Working closely with interesting partners such as universities, non-profit associations, educational institutions, and municipalities
• Dealing with administrative tasks
• Supporting the team in the implementation of ongoing projects

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

• Be a team player
• Ability to organize day-to-day activities
• Strong creative skillset, flexibility, and out-of-the-box thinking
• Curiosity/interest towards sustainability/social innovation topics
• Proactive attitude and good ability in problem solving
• Having participated in the writing of local and/or Italian proposals
• Previous experience in collaborating with organisations from different sectors
• Ability to research, gather data, and information supporting the proposal 
• Capacity for translating needs/opportunities into project design
• Ability to turn ideas into projects effectively, including defining objectives, activities, and deliverables

It’s a plus

• Bachelor/Master degree or specialized training in project writing and design
• High knowledge of the English language (both written and spoken)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Previous experience in project reporting 
• Previous experience in working with social innovation organizations
• Ability to coordinate teams and manage projects
