WHO’S OPENDOT? 

OpenDot is a foundation dedicated to making a positive impact on people and communities by addressing their real needs. We operate at both local and international levels, participating in long-term grant-funded projects that involve a large number of stakeholders.

OpenDot has its internal Fab Lab - a digital fabrication laboratory, and is a multidisciplinary team of designers, makers, developers, and communication experts, carrying out all stages of a project, from the co-creation of the idea to the development of solutions.

Our mission is to create a positive impact on real needs with empowerment of all actors through shared innovation.


WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR?

We’re currently looking for a full time mid level Project Manager with a Service / UX Designer background to join our team. We need someone with a deep understanding of the design field in order to coordinate complex design-led projects, especially at European level.

You will closely collaborate with our team of designers (graphic and service), developers, and makers by developing, coordinating, and overseeing all of the activities within the projects you are assigned to.


WHAT YOU’LL DO 

  • Working closely with the team at a practical level, designing interventions and coordinating the team in their execution 
  • Organizing and coordinating complex projects
  • Managing budget
  • Performing back office activities
  • Dealing with administrative tasks and partner relationships


WHAT YOU’LL NEED AS A PM 

  • High knowledge of the English language (both written and spoken);
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel;
  • Excellent ability to organize day-to-day activities;
  • Previous experience in coordinating team members as well as working with multidisciplinary project partners;
  • Good ability to develop complex projects effectively;
  • Good ability in problem solving, able to simplify and bring clarity to challenging situations; 
  • Ability to manage budget;
  • Curiosity/interest towards sustainability/social innovation topics;
  • Strong creative skillset, flexibility, and out-of-the-box thinking;
  • Good team coordination skills and team player.


COMING FROM A SERVICE / UX DESIGNER BACKGROUND:

You are

  • A systems thinker, comfortable navigating complex services, and ecosystems 
  • A UX and Service Designer with a strong strategic mindset 
  • Able to translate research insights and service logic into clear, coherent digital and physical experiences
  • Comfortable working across the full design process, from discovery and framing to prototyping and validation


You like

  • Conducting user research, insights sense-making, and facilitating co-design activities 
  • Mapping journeys, flows, and service blueprints
  • Defining the right problem before jumping into solutions 
  • Collaborating across disciplines and iterating through feedback 
  • Exploring new interaction patterns and approaches
  • Engaging with diverse user groups, stakeholders, and communities across different contexts and levels of expertise
  • Conducting research and co-design activities with people from varied backgrounds, needs, and professional domains


You have

  • Around 3+ years of experience in UX and/or service design
  • Experience facilitating workshops or design activities
  • Strong proficiency in Figma and familiarity with structured design systems
  • Experience navigating complex and multidisciplinary stakeholder environments, including collaborating within international and European project contexts
  • Familiarity with qualitative and mixed research methodologies, including interviews, usability testing, diary studies, co-design, and validation sessions
  • Ability to plan, conduct, and translate research activities into actionable design decisions
  • Solid UX foundations: information architecture, interaction design, user flows
  • A good visual eye for layout, hierarchy, typography, and interface consistency 
  • Experience with service design methods and tools, such as personas, journey maps, and service blueprints
  • Experience with user-centred design processes, from research to validation
  • Ability to collaborate closely with developers, product, and stakeholders
  • Experience designing complex digital services, platforms, or multi-touchpoint experiences



It’s a plus 

  • Good customer relations skills and a customer-centric personality;
  • Bachelor/Master degree;
